How much floatation does this vest provide and is it suitable for non-swimmers?
The Women's Haven Comp vest provides 50N rated flotation, which equals about 11 lbs (5 kg) of buoyancy per size. This is more float than most comp vests on the market. However, it is not Coast Guard approved and is not classified as a life jacket. We recommend it for competent swimmers who are riding near land or where help is close by. It’s not suitable for non-swimmers or for situations where a certified life jacket is required. If you need maximum safety for non-swimmers, you should look for a Coast Guard approved life jacket.
